Mobile Car Servicing in Reading & Berkshire
A mobile car service means you stay at home or in the office while we bring the tools, parts and oil to you. There is no need to book a courtesy car, arrange a lift or wait in a reception area. We arrive at the agreed time, carry out the work on your driveway or car park, and leave the vehicle in better condition than we found it.
What We Service
We carry out interim and full services on all makes and models — Ford, Vauxhall, Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai and Kia, among others. Petrol, diesel and mild hybrid engines are all covered. We do not currently work on full electric vehicles.
Interim Service — from £89
An interim service is recommended every 6 months or 6,000 miles, whichever comes first, between full services. It is particularly useful if you cover low mileage but do a lot of short urban journeys, which are hard on engine oil.
Interim service includes:
- Engine oil drain and replacement with manufacturer-specified grade
- New oil filter
- Air filter inspection (replacement quoted separately if required)
- Pollen/cabin filter check
- Tyre pressure adjustment to manufacturer spec
- Tyre tread depth measurement (legal limit is 1.6mm; we flag anything below 2mm)
- Brake pad thickness front and rear
- Fluid levels: coolant, brake fluid, power steering, screenwash
- Battery voltage and health test
- Visual check of lights, wipers, belts and suspension
Full Service — from £149
A full service is recommended annually or every 12,000 miles. It covers the complete scope of the interim service plus:
- Spark plug replacement (petrol engines)
- Fuel filter replacement (where accessible)
- Pollen/cabin filter replacement
- Brake fluid exchange (if moisture content exceeds safe threshold)
- Serpentine/auxiliary belt inspection
- Coolant concentration test
- Engine breather system check
- Comprehensive 50-point vehicle inspection report
After a full service you receive a written report noting the condition of every checked item — green (good), amber (monitor or advisory) or red (requires attention). We will never carry out additional work without your authorisation.
Service Reminder Stamps
We provide a signed and stamped service record for your vehicle’s history file. A complete service history adds demonstrable value if you sell the vehicle and confirms to any buyer that maintenance has been carried out correctly.

Why Mobile Servicing Makes Sense
Traditional garages charge a labour premium partly to cover workshop overheads: rates, reception staff, loan vehicles and equipment depreciation. A mobile mechanic has lower fixed costs, and that saving is passed directly to you.
More importantly, the vehicle never leaves your sight. You can watch the work, ask questions and verify what parts are being fitted. Every part we use carries a 12-month guarantee.

Frequently asked questions
What is included in an interim service? +
An interim service covers an engine oil and filter change, tyre pressure and condition check, brake fluid level, coolant level, air filter inspection, battery test and a visual safety check of lights, wipers and suspension components.
What is included in a full service? +
A full service includes everything in an interim service plus spark plug replacement (petrol), fuel filter, pollen filter, brake fluid change (if due), serpentine belt inspection, and a comprehensive 50-point inspection across all major vehicle systems.
How long does a mobile service take? +
An interim service takes around 90 minutes. A full service takes 2–3 hours depending on the vehicle. We carry common service parts on the van so there is rarely a need to reschedule.
Do you use manufacturer-approved oil grades? +
Yes. We match the oil specification to your vehicle's manufacturer requirements — from standard 5W-30 mineral oil to full synthetic 0W-20 for newer VAG and Ford models. We confirm the specification before we start.
